Christmas Reindeer 2016

Merry Christmas!
I made this card for my crafty BFF with the Stamping Bella Rudolph with a Present on Top Rubber Stamp and matching Die.  I colored with Prismacolor Premier Colored Pencils and then popped the image up with fun foam, also cut out with the matching die, on a die cut piece of Kraft paper die cut with the MFT Die-Namics Zig Zag Stitched Rectangle Stax.  I sponged the edges of the Kraft paper with Tim Holtz DistressInk in Ground Espresso.  The cute Christmas background paper was in my stash and I just distressed the edges with ground espresso as well.  I used a touch of Crafter's Companion Clear Overlay Spectrum Noir Sparkle on the red bow/ribbon and ornaments and the tops of the ornaments were colored with Kirarina Wink Gold Metallic Glitter Pen.
The colored pencil and sparkle do not show as well in photos as they do in person, but I love this card and cannot wait to give it to my BFF.
See you all soon!

Magical Christmas 2016

Hello everyone,

When Simon Says Stamp released "Magical Christmas" stamps and dies it was a must have on my list! My husband is a licensed flooring contractor and owns his own company with our eldest son and the logo is a grizzly bear, so this was perfect for this years Christmas cards- little did I know that over 60 cards were needed and that was quite an undertaking.  I hope the recipients/customers love them.  I did switch up some of the background paper, but the design stayed the same.   So the consensus from my husband and son - these turned out awesome!  (But as a side note, my personal Christmas cards were actually purchased this year) I really need to start this project for next year, right now!
Supplies:
Stamps and matching dies from SSS, "Magical Christmas"
My Favorite Things Zig Zag Stitched Oval Stax in Kraft cardstock
White A2 size card base
Background Christmas Paper from my overgrown stash of papers
Bear stamped in Tsukineko Memento Rich Cocoa
Bands stamped in Memento Dew Drop Ink:  Lady Bug (red) or Cottage Ivy (green)

I took lots of pictures- so enjoy!
See you soon!

Don't Get Your Tinsel in a Tangle

Good evening,
So this month has flown by and it is almost over... what happened?
Anyway, I asked to join a "Holiday/Christmas" card swap a while back, and said I would love to make 5 cards.... and guess what? I made 6, progress I tell ya! So this is the design I came up with, and since the swap is a new thing for me, after I made 6 cards, I ran out to show my husband.... and then asked him if he thought anyone would get offended by the sentiment, he laughed and said "no, I think you will be okay" and then he added "cute card"  So, first off, he made me feel better and secondly, it has to be the season of giving right, he used the word "cute"
I also tried something really new, I wanted lots of sparkle but was not sure wink of stella would do it, so after coloring with copic markers I pulled out the most gorgeous Tonic Garnet Red Nuvo Glimmer Paste and applied it over the hat, bow and little berries with a tiny paint brush... oh, my- this is such a gorgeous color in person! Then I also took the Tonic Moonstone Nuvo Glimmer Paste for the pom pom and fringe on the Santa hat and a drop of Crystal Accents on the ornament.
The sentiment and images are from Avery Elle, and might I add adorable, and I used the matching dies to cut the images out.  I stamped the sentiment with my MISTI tool and cut out the arch with the MFT Stitched Arch Die-Namic die.  The paper was just Christmas paper out of my stash.
I am so happy with how these turned out.
I hope the close-up shows the glimmer from the Nuvo Paste- it is amazing!
See you soon!

Concord & 9th Stamp & Die set (Eat Cake & Celebrate) for the Sentiment and Cake.
I colored the cake with Prismacolor pencils and die cut, then popped them up with foam squares.  Hero Arts Shadow Ink in Bubblegum

Happy MEOW-lloween

Happy October 31st....... or "Happy MEOW-lloween"

Been a while since I posted, sorry about that.... family wedding to attend out of town, family visiting in town and just a busy month, but I did have time to make some cards and had a craft day thrown in there as well...... so here we go:
One layer cards, with the exception of the bat in the corner
Had fun coloring the image (Stampendous Scraggly Cat) with my Zig Real Brush Water Color pens and stamped the sentiment in Tangelo Ink from Momento (with the help of my MISTI tool)
The bats were cut out of some scrap sparkly, glitter paper and just adhered on the card
Just a fun, simple card
See you all soon

Hello everyone,
Rainbows & bears for this Monday day.
For this card I used my Gansai Tambi Watercolors on a piece of Tim Holtz watercolor paper to make a rainbow and let air dry then die cut the watercolor piece with the Wonky Stitch die set from Avery Elle. I then laid a piece of the Bold White Dots (plastic) sheet from WeRMemory Keepers on top of the watercolor for some added layering.
I water colored & die cut this adorable bear from the Honey Bear set from The Ton (such a cute set!),

white embossed the sentiment from the same The Ton set on a piece of black cardstock, fish tailed one end and then stapled the other with the Tim Holtz stapler - this is new to me as I have never stapled any elements to my card previously.
I then I placed all these layers on a piece of black cardstock and then on a top folding A2 white card base. To finish it all off I added some rhinestone embellishments from Recollections scattered on the card front
Hope you all enjoy
See you soon

Foiled Heart Hello

Hello everyone,
So after my last post I again fell off the grid- but did have a crafty day in the mix, and with the help of my crafty BFF I came away with a few fun cards and used up some more of my Simon Says Stamp Monthly Card Kit supplies.
So this card came from supplies in the October 2015 kit
I stamped the sentiment on the cute background paper and then layered all my pieces, so overall was pretty simple and ended with a great result.

Hello- You're Pretty Fantastic

Hello everyone,
I have been missing in action as I became quite ill recently and have been sleeping & resting all in an attempt to feel better.  I was feeling better & then my dear friend from college who is like my sister needed me to help her and I felt she needed a little lift, so this card is what came out.  I used the Simon Says Stamp Card Kit from October 2015 for all the elements and added clear Wink of Stella to the word "Hello"  I also roughed up the edges of the cardstock & bent the edges in for a "country chic" look. This is all on a side folding cream cardstock A2 size.  Enjoy!

Unicorns & Friends

Hello everyone,
Everyone needs a good friend & I believe that everyone also needs something to believe in, like a unicorn.  And when you get both wrapped up together, well that is special.  Unicorns are elusive, fun and unique and good friends also have those same traits.   I can count on one hand those I consider my besties and this card came about because of one of them.  She is fun, kind, unique & crafty and I think of her as a unicorn.  Part of that is because she really loves unicorns..... but anyway, we had a crafty day and I made this for her with The Greeting Farm Magical Friends and the clouds are Lawn Fawn's Puffy Cloud Border Dies, and there is Wink of Stella all over.  She has helped me in so many ways recently and I cannot thank her enough but sometimes a card helps a bit.

See you soon!

Sorry you caught a bug!

 Hello everyone,
Had a craft day with my crafty BFF and actually created something.  I used the Lawn Fawn "On the Mend" stamp and die set, colored with my Gansai Tambi Water Colors, die cut a circle with My Favorite Things Wonky Stitched Circle die and then for the background paper I cut a 4x5 1/4 piece using The Paper Studio Barnwood Pretty ( I have 2 of the these stacks, I must really like them!) Then I put it all on an A2 white card base.  And of course I used some Wink of Stella on the Kleenex box and bug for some added sparkle.  Sentiment is from the same Lawn Fawn set, "On the Mend"

Random Card Design

Hello everyone
The other night while I was battling my insomnia I went into my craft room and went way off my normal route.  I used the stamp set "One With Nature" (the color of fun from SSS) and my Gansai Tambi Watercolor.
I stamped my trees, water colored them then die cut the water color piece with: My Favorite Things Inside & Out Diagonal Stitched Square Stax Die-Namics.
I found a scrap piece of paper and cut it down to fit the A2 card base with a slight border as a background piece for my trees and added some grungy washi tape in black & white to run down the side.  I cut out a fish tail banner element in shiny cardstock for some flash and stamped the sentiment in versafine onyx black ink and attached with my Tim Holtz Idea-ology Tiny Attacher Stapler.

I have also added my new watercolor mark to my photo- isn't it fabulous? I love it.
Thanks for stopping by- see you soon!

Hoppy Easter with The Greeting Farm Bunny

Good evening everyone,
I know Easter has passed but I had a few supplies laying around and made another cute bunny card with Hoppy Hello from The Greeting Farm.  I decided to make the bunny the focal point and used a photo frame die I had, offset a bit over water colored paper. Colors used: broken china, mermaid lagoon, wilted violet, added some bling and paint splatters, cut the rectangle with Avery Elle's wonky stitches die (my go-to die of choice) and then adhered it all to the front of an A2 card base in a light violet color
Also, since I am blessed to live in Southern California I took all these photos outside when the sun could assist in giving me some great colors - so the photos are pretty true to color
Hope you enjoy! I will be adding this to the March FF Challenge - Animals Rule at TGF
See you soon

Without you, I'd go off the peep end!

Hello everyone,

So I had this thought in my head that I could make a card using some type of window frame and have little peeps popping out, so I stamped the peeps using My Favorite Things, Hybrid Ink in Black Licorice, water colored and die cut the little peeps from the recent SSS monthly kit (the most adorable set ever) and started to create.  As I was going along I decided it would be really cute to make it a shaker card and I wanted lots of color, so why not a rainbow, right?  I love the way the Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors melted together so seamlessly on my Tim Holtz watercolor cardstock.
Once my main scene was created I picked out a cute piece of 6x6 paper from the "Spring" pad from Carta Bella that was in the SSS kit and cut that down to fit the front of an A2 card.
The hardest part was choosing which of the awesomely cute sentiments to use from the stamp set.  I decided that this card would be going to my mom, so the sentiment was perfect- she is always there for me and over the last 3 months she has helped with business stuff and accounting stuff and so much more and kept me from going crazy with stress, and this card is right up her alley and I am sure she will love it!
So I have included a detailed list of supplies used and hope you will come visit my blog again soon!

Greeting Farm Bunny Easter Card

Good afternoon everyone,

My crafty BFF hosted a craft day yesterday where I was able to finish up some of my Easter cards.  I am so happy with how this one turned out.
I began with TH water color paper and spritzed it with water and added distress spray stain in wilted violet, broken china and mermaid lagoon.  When dry I flicked those same colors to give some added pops of color.  I then cut out the finished piece with the Avery Elle Wonky Stitches die ( I love this die!) I added a small piece of washi tape in green/white polka dots and a few sequins.  My image is from The Greeting Farm, Hoppy Hello set.  I colored the bunny with copic markers and added some little white polka dots on the scarf. I added the bunny to my water color piece with fun foam to give a bit of dimension and then put my front panel on a side folding card in a pale green color.
* I also tried out some different backgrounds when taking pictures - so same card but makes it look a bit different :)
Hope you enjoy- see you soon!

Good evening,
My crafty BFF recently lost her mother, and I found that sympathy cards are just so difficult to make first hand.  I think I need to make a few to have on hand so it will not be as emotional in the moment.
I stamped the Donna Downey Poppy Stamp from the Unity Stamp Set "You Are Important" in versamark ink and then used clear embossing powder on watercolor paper, sprayed generously with water and Heidi Swapp Color Shine in Coral and blotted off the excess color on the card front.  I used chalk ink in espresso to ink the edges of my panel and stamp the sentiment.  I die cut the "prayers" four times in chocolate paper and stacked them together.  I then placed the finished panel on an A2 cream colored card base.
I am pleased with how soft and pretty this turned out and feel it conveys my heart right now

 Good night
