Sharing some older cards - Going back

Hello everyone~
So I have been going through some old photos and realized a few things:
1. My skills are growing
2. I am a perfectionist, so I am very critical of what I make
3. My photo taking skills are getting better & I am using props as well now
4. I enjoy making stuff and like seeing what I have done and where I am now
5. I enjoy blogging about my stuff and am getting better at that as well

So without further ado, here are photos of older work that I did not blog about previously but like what I created and felt that I would love to share

Winter Themed Penguin Thank You Card using Simon Says Stamp January 2016 Card Kit

Hello Everyone ~
So my crafty best friend came over and saw all my monthly kits (one years worth) still in the boxes and made a comment that she would "use them up" the minute she got them, so my resolution is to do just hat this year.  I generally open them, play with them and then set them aside.  Not this time.
So the kits come with a project sheet and I loved the idea of the card above- I used different papers and the penguin but the card is very similar to the card by Sharri Carroll.  And isn't it super cute! I love the January kit.  The snowflakes in the background were stamped with versamark and embossed with clear embossing powder, other than that it was super easy to put together and pretty quick.
And here are some more pictures - enjoy

See you soon!

Christmas Ornament Tags 2015

Hello everyone ~
So Christmas snuck up on me between birthdays and celebrations and now that Christmas is over and half the birthday celebrations have come and gone, I feel like the home stretch has arrived.
I made these for family at Christmas and wanted to share.  I love the Newton's Nook Fox Hollow stamps and dies - the foxes are so cute and love those trees! I used the Lawn Fawn Lawn Cuts Custom Craft Die- Stitched Circle Tags as the base and Time Holtz Distress Ink blended together with water drops to activate the ink in the background.  All foxes and trees colored with copic markers and my coloring is getting better, slowly but surely and all it takes is practice.

See you all soon!

Happy New Year

Hello everyone & Happy 2016!

So I had an idea, a fabulous great idea and I started and it all went way off the idea and I wasn't sure if I liked it at all and so I did that thing when you ask your hubby (because your BFF crafty girlfriend is away) and of course he says "what's wrong with it?" and you say "I don't know" and he shakes his head..... yeah, that all happened.
So here is my card and it is not colors I normally card make with and I am still not sure if I really like it or if I am being super critical, but it is going out today in the post to my Grams - she will love it and I like sending her happy mail since it is cold in Iowa right now- sunshine in her mailbox.....
