Harvesting Gratitude

Hello everyone,

The current Mood Board/Challenge over at Victorine Originals is "Harvest" and I absolutely love the options for this one.  For me fall is one of my favorite times of year and I wish we actually had more of one here in Southern California.  I love cooler weather, wearing sweatshirts, having a fire outside, tree leaves changing colors and the feeling of family preparing for upcoming Holidays and spending more time together.
I decided that I wanted something I could hang in my house that conveyed the fall theme, so I made a wall hanging and found a perfect frame in my craft stash to set my project off in. So let's go check it out......
I used the gorgeous Victorine Originals Pumpkin on a Vine and stamped it all over randomly on a piece of Canson XL water color paper with Versamark ink, I then used Nuvo Embossing Powder in Classic Gold and heat set them, they are so elegant and pretty and I think I may do this again and use as a background paper for some fall cards.  I then used my Zig Real Brush markers in orange and a drop of brown to color the smaller pumpkins and two shades of green for the leaves.  I waited for that to dry completely and then I water colored the larger pumpkins with Distress Oxide Inks in Fossilized Amber and Wild Honey.  I then waited again for the panel to dry completely and used my Zigs again in Green Grey to watercolor the in between spaces.  I cut a larger panel of white paper and inked it up in Fossilized Amber and then cut a third panel even larger in Kraft card stock.

On all three panels I sponged Walnut Distress Oxide Ink on the edges and popped up each layer in between with fun foam for dimension.  I have a die for the word Gratitude and cut that out of three sheets of Kraft card stock and layered them together and the top layer I sponged on Walnut Distress Oxide to darken it just a tad.  After adhering the word down I coated it in glossy accents for shine and dimension. I wanted to convey to guests in our home during this time they are important to us, so I cut a small piece of white card stock and again inked it with Fossilized Amber and stamped "to have you in my life" with black versafine ink and heat set with clear embossing powder.  I then added it to the top panel  and all this was then added to a beautiful frame I had in my craft room but I felt was perfect with the burlap background and distressed look.

Thank you for stopping by, please go over to the Victorine Mood Board and play along in the challenge and also stop by and see what is new over on social media.
