Time for Baseball

Hello everyone,
It is that time again...... fall sports and (hopefully) cooler weather.  That is what I miss most being in Southern California, Seasons! I love the crisp fall air, leaves changing colors, comfort food that warms you from the inside, fresh apple picking, and so much more.  So for this challenge I went with the adorably fun Baseball stamp from Victorine Originals (2558-A) and thought what better way to showcase this stamp then with red, white and blue.  I found the perfectly fitting "Yay!" stamp in my crafty stash and thought why not make a fun fall birthday card.
I I started with a white A2 card base and then layered a piece of red card stock cut to 4 1/4 X 5 1/2 on top, then I took a piece of blue card stock and die cut it with a stitched rectangle die from Kat Scrappiness and layered that a bit skewed on top.  I then took the next size down in the cut rectangle stitched die and stamped all over it with my Baseball Stamp.  I took out my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and used the Carmine Red to go over the stitching on the baseballs, then I used Light Grey and dotted the edges of all the balls to give them texture and dimension and not leave them so "flat" and white as to blend in with the card base.
I used a red heart for the sentiment, thinking what things in Fall go together in my head, baseball, apple pie, red, white & blue, America's pastime, the love of baseball.... I think you get the hint. I stamped the Yay! with Versafine Onyx Black Ink and heat embossed with clear powder to get the shininess and I took a white gel pen and made little dashes around the heart to help tie it in. I used a small piece of the blue card stock used in layer 2 and found a birthday stamp in  my craft room, made little white dotted lines on the scrap to tie it in, popped up the heart with fun foam for dimension and then layered the sentiment with more foam on top.
I hope you enjoyed my card, please check out the challenge at Victorine Originals and play along and I will see you soon.
