LOVE - SumMore Fun Challenge and Mood Board #21

Hello everyone and Happy February,

There is a new challenge and mood board over at SumMore Fun and I had the pleasure of working with the most adorable stamp set by Raisin Boat this week.  The stamp set is "Playing Cupid" and has some great images.  Here is how this card came together:

I started by playing with some Yupo paper, a blending tool, blending solution and alcohol inks in Flamingo, Wild Plum, Poppyfield and Pink Sherbet. While the paper was drying I pulled out a 12 x 12 paper pad specific for Valentine's Day and pulled out some cute patterns to work with.  I cut the black and white chalk hearts paper to 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 and then cut the bingo card down and distressed the edges and curled the corners up for texture.  I then glued them together, added some black and white twine around them and added them to a side folding A2 white card base.  By this time the alcohol ink page was dry and I stamped the flower heart and sentiment "Love" with Versamark ink and then heat set with fine detail white embossing powder.  I cut the inked paper with a stitched rectangle die and popped it up with some fun foam. I cut a channel on the back of the fun foam where I could have the twine go through so it would not add a lump to the front of the card and then glued the alcohol ink stamped rectangle to the front of the card. This card is full of texture, layers and dimension and the alcohol ink colors are just so vibrant and pretty.  This card would be an easy one to mass produce if you needed to send out lots of pretty, happy mail, and playing with alcohol inks is so much fun.

Thanks for checking out my project and please come join along with us at the blog for our challenge.
