This week's Mood Board for Challenge #22 is GORGEOUS! I immediately went for the daisy stamps in the Oops A Daisy Raisin Boat stamp set and I could not be more happy with how it turned out. I started with a piece of white water color that was cut to 6" x 5 1/2" knowing I would be cutting it down. I put the paper into my Misti and lined up the stamps where I wanted them then treated my paper with my anti-static powder tool and stamped the images with Versa Mark Ink, then I heat embossed with Nuvo Embossing Powder in Glacier White.
I used both of the larger full Daisy stamps and moved them around and kept stamping then embossing. I then water colored the images using Hero Arts Shadow Ink in Raspberry Jam. I waited for each layer to dry then intensified the color until I was happy with it. When the flowers were dry I then used Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Ink in Peacock Feathers to water color the areas in between the flowers and then blotted up some color, so it is quite light. The center of the flowers are colored in with Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Ink in Walnut Stain. When all the layers of color were dry I used a stitched rectangle die to cut out the water colored piece and the finished size is 3 3/4" x 4 1/2" I glued this piece onto a piece of patterned paper cut to 4" x 5 1/4" then glued all layers to a side folding A2 sized white card base. To finish the card I took some thin silver glitter washi tape and some thin metallic pink washi and put those across the top portion of the card, I then stamped the Thinking of You sentiment from the Oops A Daisy set onto a piece of vellum that has some polka dots on it with Versa Mark Ink and again heat embossed with Nuvo Embossing Powder in Glacier White then cut a banner tail on one end and attached it across the top of the washi tape I had previously laid down. I finished it all off with a few Pink Confetti Sequins. The washi and the confetti reflect a lot of light and the card will be perfect for a birthday card I plan to send soon.
Go check out the Challenge and join us, we would love to see your creations. I have included the Mood Board and Link below as well as the stamp set I have used.
See you all soon!
