Fall Thank You

Hello everyone,
The new Mood Board, Give Thanks, is up over at Victorine Originals and the start of a new challenge. I went with a one layer card that would be easy to mass produce and has a very fall feeling vibe going on.  I started with a piece of green medium weight card stock that I cut to 4.25" x 11" and then gave it a top fold by creasing it at 5.5".  I then used the beautiful large "Thank You" stamp from Victorine Originals and stamped with Hero Arts Moss Green ink, using my MISTI for precision stamping.  I then took the Pumpkins on a Vine stamp and stamped at the bottom of the card, again in the Moss Green ink, when that was dried I masked it off and turned the stamp upside down and stamped again to give the illusion of a field of pumpkins.  I like that it is a simple yet elegant tone on tone card and it is also not my normal card, so I stretched my crafty self a bit.
Come join us and show off your cards or projects, we would love to see them. The Mood Board is below for you to check out and the stamps I used are below as well.
See you soon!

Halloween Gift Card Tags

BOO!
It is my turn to take over the blog at Victorine Originals and I decided to try something a bit different, so I made some gift tags using the Halloween Kids stamp set from Victorine Originals and the We R Memory Keepers Nesting Dies Fold Over Tags.

I started by stamping the pumpkin (twice), the Mummy and Dracula onto some watercolor paper in versafine onyx black ink and then heat setting with clear embossing powder.  I colored them with my Zig real brush markers and then fussy cut them out.  I covered Dracula's cape and the pumpkins with a coat of clear Spectrum Noir glitter pen for some sparkle.  On the pumpkins I also used the Nuvo Glow Drops in Banana Split for the eyes, nose and mouth for some added fun.

For Dracula's tag I took a piece of grey card stock and then used a stencil from my craft room and sponged it with Distress Oxide Ink in Black Soot and then sprinkled some water onto it for some added interest. I put my tag together with some strong adhesive tape and then added a few silver glitter embellies at the top and some orange and black bakers twine. I glued my pumpkin directly to the tag and then I popped up Dracula with some foam tape. I used the Sentiment Happy Halloween form the Halloween Kids Stamp Set from Victorine Originals and cut it apart to make it work when I attached it to a gift card. Here are some close ups of the Dracula tag with the gift card in and out:

For the Mummy card I started with a piece of purple and black card stock paper and used another tree stencil from my crafty stash and again used Distress Oxide Ink in Black Soot.  I assembled my gift tag and added some purple and black bakers twine at the top and some dark purple glitter embellies on the tag, I used the BOO! From Me To You sentiment and glued down the pumpkin, added foam tape to the back of the Mummy and finished off tag 2.  Here are some close up photos of the Mummy tag:

We still have the current Mood Board up for the challenge over at the Victorine Originals Blog and I will put all the links below, please join us and share your crafty projects with us.
See you soon!

Spooky Halloween Wishes

Spooky Halloween wishes everyone!!!!
For the ongoing challenge at Victorine Originals I wanted to try something a bit different, so here is what I came up with:
I started by taking a piece of orange card stock and stenciling the "Eye Chart" from Tim Holtz with Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink. When it was dry I then used the largest of the We R Memory Keepers Fold Over Tags Nesting Dies to cut a tag.  I then used a piece of purple card stock and stamped the sentiment from the Victorine Originals Halloween Kids set "Don't worry...I'm just here for the candy." with black versafine ink and heat emboss with clear embossing powder. I attached a piece of black and orange colored baker's twine to the top of the tag and then I popped up my cute little ghost, also from the Halloween Kids set, with foam tape pieces and then I added my tag to a piece of black card stock cut to 4" x 5.25"  which I then added at a slight angle to a piece of purple card stock cut to 4.25" x 5.5" and then I put all the layers onto a side folding A2 white card base.  For the final touches I added some glittery purple embellies and then I used my Spectrum Noir clear glitter pen to give my ghost a glittery costume.

Hope you go over and join the current challenge, the Mood Board is below for you to check out:

Fall Gratitude

Hello everyone,
It is my turn to post over on the Victorine Originals Blog today.  I am absolutely in love with this stamp set and even more so when I emboss it with Nuvo Classic Gold powder. It is so elegant and pretty.  This card is a one layer card and I could not be more happy with how it turned out.  There is always something as a crafter you shy away from, and one layers are mine.  So I started by cutting my A2 sized card base with solar white Neenah card stock and made it a side folding card ( I thought it would be easier to manage, but looking back I think a top fold would have been fine as well) I stamped my Pumpkins on a Vine (2587) towards the right side and in the top third of the card with versamark ink and then sprinkled my embossing powder on and heat set. I then stamped my image again onto a full sticky post-it note and cut it out to use as a mask. I then masked the image and a strip along the card stock and using Distress Oxide inks in Fossilized Amber and Spiced Marmalade I inked the strip that would be my focal point.  Once done with inking I peeled off the tape and mask and water colored the pumpkins using my Zig Real Color brush pens and my clear spectrum noir glitter pen.  I love using the glitter pen to "water color" as it gives the areas so much shimmer and shine and works like a charm.

When done I took out the beautiful sentiment stamp from Victorine Originals, Heaven on Earth and stamped in versafine and heat embossed with the Nuvo gold embossing powder to match the pumpkins.  I love the wording on this sentiment and love how pretty it looks in gold.  The card was pretty quick and very simple and I love how it turned out.  I hope you enjoy.
See you all soon!
