Flying Bats, It's Almost Halloween!

Hello everyone, Heather here.  Since it is almost fall  I felt it was time to go all out for Halloween, and since there are so many awesome stamps to choose from at Victorine Originals, I went with the Flying Bats and made them the center piece of my card.

I started by stamping the Flying Bats (3047-F) in the top center area with black versafine ink and then heat embossing them with black embossing powder, which gives it an almost velvety look in person.  I then took Distress Oxide Inks in Fossilized Amber and Spiced Marmalade and using a piece of masking paper I cut a circle out and inked the center, my circle die had a stitched edging and I was not sure if I would like it, but when done I found that I liked that added detail of color and feel it gives it an original look.  I removed the mask and spritzed with water, which gave it a little texture and made some of the water fade a bit.  I also used my Spectrum Noir Glitter pen and covered the moon area because everything is better with some sparkle.  I cut my panel out with a stitched rectangle die and added the panel onto an A2 sized black card base.  For the final touch I added some Nuvo Glow In The Dark drops in Banana Split.  I think I succeeded in having the bats stay the center of attention and made a rather clean and simple card overall.
Thanks for joining me on the blog today, see you all again soon!
