Hello everyone,
So it has been a whirlwind of activity around my house lately as my eldest son got married Saturday, September 2nd. My husband also decided three weeks prior to the wedding to do a massive interior renovation to our house. I am happy to say that the renovation is done and my eldest has married the prettiest and sweetest girl and I now have a daughter in the family. I of course needed a card to reflect the happy couple so I reached for the prettiest stamp I have ever seen from Victorine Originals and made what I consider an elegant and yet simple card design. I used the Wedding Couple Silhouette (74825-M) that I stamped on the first layer with black onyx versafine ink, I then sprinkled Nuvo Glitter Embossing Powder in Glitter Noir over the stamped image and heat set.
My card base is in a medium grey card stock cut to A2 size with a top fold. My next layer up is a dark grey card stock in the largest scalloped and stitched rectangle die from Kat Scrappiness. I then cut the next size layer in vellum and the top layer is the medium grey card stock to match the card base. I added silver metallic effect thread between the vellum and top layer for extra effect. Each layer is also mounted with fun foam for added dimension. I then stamped the "Congratulations" from the Elegant Sayings (10517-X) stamp set, also from Victorine Originals, in black onyx versafine ink and heat set with clear embossing powder on vellum to match the second layer of the card. I love the font used for this sentiment set and felt it would be perfect layered over the stamped couple silhouette. I then ran the vellum through my Xyron sticker maker and layered it over the couple. I like how it is still see through yet completely stuck down and there is no visible glue to see through the vellum. I then added some Studio Katia Clear Crystals to the wedding bouquet and sealed with some glossy accents for added dimension and sparkle.
This card came together beautifully and I am sure the happy newlyweds will love it, I am pretty sure they did not have a chance to enjoy it prior to leaving for the honeymoon......
Hope you all enjoyed this newest card and I will see you all again soon.
Please go over to the Victorine Originals blog and check out the ongoing challenge and join in on the fun. I have also added the links to the products used below.
